Looking for work or considering changing careers could become an overwhelming process. The internet is a double-edge sword: You could spend hours clicking and uploading resumes and not knowing if your efforts will yield a response.
Here are three resources I recommend to anyone who is looking for work:
1. What Color is Your Parachute? by Richard N. Bolles. This is by far the most comprehensive guide for any job seeker. Caveat: It focuses on the strategy of the job search and careers choices.
2. Career Realism. This is a blog that provides matter-of-fact information in a fresh, effective way. They want to help you answer your questions and spring you into action. Besides they have a very reasonable priced online, three-month course and many free online resources.
3. Career Distinction. A personal branding web site based on the book that includes topics such as "What is your Online Identity Calculator?" Also known as, your Google Quotient.
