The increasing levels of uncertainty--and stress-- that we are experiencing due to the financial markets roller coaster could become a teachable moment if you are up for it.
What to do in times of heightened fear, uncertainty and despair? Think like an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs learn to live with uncertainty by their side. In particular, they exhibit four qualities that allow them to weather every storm --financial or otherwise--that comes their way.
- Resilience - the ability to bounce back. Not sometimes. Always.
- Innovation - the ability to think outside of the box. Better yet. Ignore the box completely.
- Focus - the ability to fight the urge to multitask (this is a tough one) and remain engaged in what is priority.
- Resourcefulness - the ability to use information, tools, people (any type of resources) creatively to get the job done.
