As founder of Shades of Success, Inc. Anna works with entry level and mid-career professionals of diverse backgrounds and their organizations to foster an environment that promotes career advancement, effective relationship management and collaborative leadership. Through her Career Blueprint and Leadership Program™, field research and an online platform, she coaches professionals to successfully develop strategic business relationships and proactively manage their careers.
Anna has conducted workshops and coaching sessions at EMC Corp., The Boston Globe, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, the Center for Women and Enterprise and many other venues. In her most recent engagement, Anna led a workshop titled, The ABC’s of Empowerment, during an event hosted by Latinas Unidas, a student group at Harvard College.

About Anna
In addition to her business endeavors, Anna writes in English and Spanish about leadership, entrepreneurship and the concept of a New America for print and online media. In 2006, Anna's editorial commentary on immigration and education was awarded national recognition at the First National Ethnic Media Awards in Washington D.C. She is a former editorial board member of New England’s Spanish language newspaper El Planeta. In this capacity, she was part of the selection committee of The PowerMeter, a list of the 100 Most Influential People in the Latino Community in Massachusetts in 2007. Anna has also held an advisory position in New England Ethnic News, a digital portal that highlights the accomplishments and challenges of ethnic communities in the New England area.
Anna is currently pursuing a Master's at Harvard University with a focus on adult learning and leadership development. Last fall, as part of her coursework, she conducted a research study to identify the factors that help or hinder career advancement for Latina professionals.
Anna received a Master's degree in Business Administration from the F. W. Olin School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Born and raised in Lima, Perú, Anna self-identifies as a global citizen who has traveled throughout Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. She lives west of Boston with her husband, Peter, her son, Arturo, and Milo, their chocolate labrador retriever. In her spare time, she is teaching Arturo the cha cha chá.
