Best Careers for 2007

U.S. News and World Report recently released their list of the 25 Best Careers for 2007.  Their ranking is based on market demand and earning potential (a salary guide is available by metropolitan area).  Job profiles of all 25 careers help round out the list.   Some data highlights:

• Three careers show median salary above $100K a year:  doctor, dentist and higher education administrator.  No surprise here.
• Eleven out of 25 careers listed are in health care related fields.  Again, nothing knew as the increasing demand for health care professionals is an ongoing challenge.
• System Analyst made the list signaling the continued need for technology professionals. However, Librarian also made the list despite the ever growing reliance on the Internet to access information.
